Dr. Belkoff is the Chairman of the Department of Specialty Surgeries and the Division of Urology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor at PCOM and Drexel University at Hahnemann University Hospital. After graduating from Emory University, he completed his medical degree at the Kansas City University/College of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his internship and surgical residency at Botsford General Hospital and DOH/Bi-County Hospital in Michigan, respectively. His urologic residency training was completed at PCOM and Albert Einstein Medical Center. In addition, he received a Masters of Science in Urology from PCOM.
Dr. Belkoff is a member of the American Urologic Association. He has been extremely involved in Post-Graduate Education and is the Associate Urology Residency Director at PCOM and Hahnemann. Locally, he has held a number of leadership positions, including President and Medical Director of the former City Avenue Hospital and Director of Osteopathic Affairs and Graduate Medical Education at the former Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital. Nationally, he is the past President of the Urologic Discipline of the American College of the Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS). He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the ACOS and is currently the President-Elect of this national organization. Dr. Belkoff has received a number of honors including the ACOS President’s Special Recognition Award and an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from PCOM.
Clinical Research has been an important component of Dr. Belkoff’s practice. He has been the Principal Investigator of numerous research studies and oversees the Clinical Research Department of Urologic Consultants of Southeastern Pennsylvania. He has been a co-author on many scientific articles and poster sessions. Dr. Belkoff has a special interest and expertise in Radiation Therapy for prostate cancer and has a large patient experience with both High Dose and Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy.
Dr. Belkoff sees patients in the offices at Bala Cynwyd, Hahnemann University Hospital, Norristown, Mt Airy, and Northeast Philadelphia.
Dr Belkoff takes pleasure in spending his free time with his wife Sherri and children, Joshua, Emily, and Andie.
